Frequent messages that appear on a keypad


FAULT ZNXXX (ex. Fault Z001 FRONT DOOR)

This is displayed if a door or window is opened or if a motion sensor detects motion. If the zone is still faulted after the door or window has been closed and there is nothing moving in front of the motion sensor, please contact our service department at 888-ALARM-00.

TROUBLE/CHECK ZNXXX (ex. TROUBLE ZN001 1ST FLOOR SMOKE)

This Indicates that there is something wrong with the device or if a smoke head is removed from the base. This message could also be generated if a device is damaged or malfunctioning. If you see a Trouble/Check message on your keypad, please contact our service department at 888-ALARM-00

FC

This indicates a communications failure. If you have a phone connected to your alarm system, contact your phone service provider to verify that the line is in service and operating properly. If they confirm that the phone line is ok, please contact our service department at 888-ALARM-00.

If you have a Cellular Communicator (a.k.a. Radio), please contact our service department at 888-ALARM-00.

AC LOSS

This indicates your alarm system has lost power and is now running on its battery backup. If your power is out, wait until the power comes back on, and your system should return to normal. If you have power but the keypad still says AC LOSS, check to make sure all of your circuit breakers are in the on position. Also make sure that the Plug-In transformer is plugged into a power outlet (this only applies to burglar systems). If your keypad still indicates an AC loss, then please contact our service department at 888-ALARM-00.

LOW BATT

This indicates that the systems battery backup is running low. If your power went out, this message may appear once power is restored. Your Alarm system will charge the battery back to full within 12 hours. If you receive this message and your power has not been interrupted, your battery may need to be replaced. Batteries typically last around 3-5 years under normal conditions. Please contact our service department to schedule a battery replacement at 888-ALARM-00.
